Job Opening —  Child Care Assistant Teacher

Ames Christian School seeks an experienced, temporary part-time childcare assistant teacher for our early childhood education program. Candidates who are seeking part-time employment and are available from 4:15 to 5:45 Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and lunches on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  We are seeking reliable candidates who are passionate about teaching, love and understand children, engage life from a biblical perspective, and are great team players.

Spiritual Qualifications:

  • Spiritually mature believer who demonstrates a personal commitment and relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Full agreement with the ACS Statement of Faith
  • Active member/regular attendee of an evangelical church whose beliefs align with the ACS Statement of Faith
  • Committed to Christ-centered education and the mission of ACS 

Professional Requirements:

  • Trained or willing to be trained in CPR and First Aid
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Willing to help with homework and engage in play
  • Pursues continuing education as required by the Department of Human Services 
  • Secures substitute workers as needed, or works necessary shift if no subs are available

Position is supervised and evaluated by the Early Childhood Director and Administrator
