Lunch Information
Students should bring a sack lunch on Monday and Friday. There is no microwave available. Please bring hot foods in a thermos. Tuesday is B-Bop's restaurant day. Quarter-pound burger meals, chicken sandwiches and other fast food items are available to order. Wednesday is Pizza Hut day. Cheese, pepperoni or sausage pizza slices may be ordered for $1.25 a slice. Thursday is Grandma Carol's Hot Lunch day. A variety of hot meals will be served such as walking tacos, chicken tenders, hot dogs and macaroni and cheese. Vegetables, fruit, and dessert are included for $3.00. All orders for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday meals will be due on MONDAY--- no exceptions. Lunch order forms will be sent home in your student's Friday folders, can be found at the school web site or are available from the classroom teachers.
For lunch account vouchers, it is suggested that parents start out with $50 at the beginning of the school year. A notice will be sent home when the account is below $20. Please make checks out to Ames Christian School with "lunch voucher" written in the memo area. Milk tickets will be sold for $7.50 and will be used for the purchase of chocolate or white milk. Milk will only be allowed to be purchased during lunch time with a milk ticket. Milk tickets may be paid with funds from the student's lunch voucher account. A student's milk card will be kept in the office except during the lunch hour. You must fill out a permission slip if you want to have an additional carton of milk or entree item to be available to your child if they want. Only one permission slip is required for the entire year. Thank you for your cooperation.
