Meet Our Administrator

Peggy Smith

I am honored to serve the Lord as the Administrator of this school.  I have been a part of ACS for 16 years first as a teacher and now as the administrator. ACS is a member of Association of Christian School Internation (ACSI). ACS provides  "Personalized Christian Education" through dedicated Christian teachers to the children and families of Ames and the surrounding communities. Our student body represents many denominations and places of worship.  We enroll Preschool/Childcare-6th grade students, offer music, art, and physical education, in a safe,Christ centered environment.  Parents are an integral part of our school's success.

I received by B.S. from Iowa State University and have 31 years of experience in education.  I have taught kindergarten through sixth grade in both public and private school.  I served one year on the ACS Administrative Team as Curriculum and Education Director. This is my fourth year as Administrator of Ames Christian.

 I have been married to my devoted husband, Mac, since 1973.  He taught and coached for 30 years before taking early retirement.  He's a full-time sales agent for Century 21 Real Estate.  We have three married children: Kent Smith, Lindsay Mann, and Kelsey Williamson, and five grandsons: Carter, Grady, Hudson, Miles, and Grant.
