Financial Aid/Scholarships

Each year the Financial Aid/Scholarship committee at ACS seeks donations toward the student scholarship fund. Parents and students are encouraged to apply for available scholarship dollars by following the process outlined below.

Financial Aid/Scholarship Application Process

Each year, the school board and administration stive to connect donations from individuals supporting Christian education to K-6 scholarship applicants. The scholarship fund is limited to the amount of scholarship donations contributed.  ACS utilizes the online service of Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) to process applications for scholarships.  FAST does not decide whether financial assistance will be given or how much to give.  Instead, the FAST analysis provides a need-based financial aid service which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition.  All information sent to FAST is kept private and confidential.  Recommendations from FAST are reviewed by the ACS Financial Aid/Scholarship Committee who make final recommendations to the School Board based on available funds.  Upon approval by the School Board, offers of financial aid will be sent to families for consideration.  Families seeking financial aid must reapply each school year.  Completing the FAST application will be required to be eligible for financial aid.  We have an obligation to be good stewards to those donors who have provided scholarship funds and feel that using this application tool will help the committee with decision making.

The FAST application process is available by clicking the on the logo.  The application process is self-guided. You may navigate in and out of the program. Please use the online email and a 24/7 phone help line that is provided instead of calling the school.  The charge for the FAST application is $34.00 per family to be paid by credit card at the end of the session.  After completing the online application you will be required to mail your 2010 tax returns for both state and federal taxes with all schedules and W-2’s to FAST.  Once FAST receives your tax returns they will do their financial analysis and send their recommendation to ACS for review.  Applicants will then be notified by ACS of their award amount and have the choice to accept or not for the coming school year.

We will do our very best to be timely in decision making throughout this process.
